Alright, so I really wanted to try being gluten free for a while, and this week I have tried my absolute hardest to both avoid dairy and gluten (in addition to the microwave). Today, it all broke down (minus the microwave - still just oven!).
Breakfast: granola bar and coffee with soy milk. Coffee with soy milk makes me enjoy black coffee. And I don't like black coffee. And I have half a gallon of soy milk to drink. Maybe I will learn to like it soon? Here's hoping.
Snack: banana
Lunch: roast beef with cheese and lettuce on wheat bread.
Dinner: at about 5:15 I was craving pizza. Craving. My meals for the past few days have left me not entirely full (I'm sure it's just because my stomach expanded due to continual massive inputs of holiday cookies over the past couple weeks), so today I wanted something hearty. But at 5:15 on a Friday, a pizza order was not going to be quick at all. So I went down to my grocery store, purchased a frozen pizza, got home, and set my oven to 400°. 25 minutes later, pizza! I ate half and will have the other half probably tomorrow or the next day.
Yum. It wasn't the best pizza I have ever had, but it definitely hit the spot. During the cook time I whipped up an arugula salad with the "slaw" from yesterday (so much arugula left over goodness) so I feel slightly less bad about my pizza consumption. Slightly.
(I remembered to take a photo about at the end - there was much more salad before!).
Success!
