Normally, I meet spring with a "meh." But this spring cannot come fast enough. The Midwest cold is TOO ROUGH for my California blood and this 7-degrees-when-you-wake-up-high-of-20 is just not okay. I don't even know how to process anything less than 30 degrees. It's just "cold" and "really cold" and "really really cold." So this snow can melt already, and someone cue the daffodils because I am so over this winter.
Southern California is really just summer all year round. It really is. It's awesome. (And I never really appreciated it until I left.) I have always had a summer wardrobe, but spring? A weird transition time? Yep, never really had that because California doesn't really transition. So pastels are now slowly making their way into my wardrobe and I'm sadly putting away my olive green long sleeved shirts for whites, pinks, and baby blues.
I love J.Crew denim. I have had several pairs of denim jeans from J.Crew's line over the years and they have been SO durable and so long lasting, not to mention the most flattering. And in case you haven't seen the denim overhaul they've done, you pretty much need to stop doing whatever you are doing right now and click here. I'm really into the Reid and the Toothpick - and their washes this year are just SO ON POINT I love them. Cannot wait to get my hands on a pair (definitely needing some new denim soon!). So I also need a new pair of white jeans, so J.Crew denim will definitely be the place I go for that.
How fun are these shoes? Not entirely sure I would buy them, but I do love the texture they would add to an outfit!
This sweater. I love this sweater. I actually have this sweater. I left it at the dry cleaners TWO months ago (literally) back home and so I won't get it for another couple of weeks. The separation anxiety has been real people. Luckily, I have an awesome sister and so she happened to get me one really similar to this for Christmas, so I have been wearing that basically every other day... and now that it's crossed my mind I will probably wear it tomorrow...
P.S. Want some awesome pink outfit inspiration? I have been following a blogger, For All Things Lovely, for a few years and I just love her style. It's so girly, always pink, and about 75% something I would never wear. But I just love it! Check out my current favorite outfit of hers here.
