Looks I Love [but would not wear]: Southwestern Style

I definitely have a signature style that I would describe as classic and preppy with contemporary accents. I struggle often with buying clothes that I would really love to wear and would fit into my signature style.  In fact, I have a whole Pinterest board of looks I love but would never actually wear. 

One example of this is the southwestern style. I LOVE the Southwestern Style (and also the Southern Style, but that’s a whole different post), but it’s not something I would actually reach for in my closet or necessarily feel the most comfortable in. But to those who find themselves able to rock these looks - girl you go. 

Below is a collection of some of my favorite Southwestern Style items that I just LOVE but wouldn’t realistically buy and wear all the time. 

PS: there have been plenty of times where I have purchased clothing that is in some of my “looks I love but wouldn’t wear” category and then they have sat in my closet for YEARS. YEARS PEOPLE. HOW WASTEFUL. So, I now have a “I must LOVE this item” policy in order to buy something. Occasionally I stray from this, and it is always the worst idea, and then it sits in my closet for years and I am, once again, furious with myself. If you maybe fall into this category too, maybe try defining what your style is rather than looks you just happen to love on other people.
